The Fiji Airways Fijiana 7s side recorded its first win at the Hong Kong 7s defeating South Africa 24-7 in its second pool match.
Fiji led 19-nil at halftime.
Fiji’s tries were scored through captain Raijieli Daveua, who scored a brace while Verenaisi Bari and Ilisapeci Delaiwau grabbed a try each.
Fiji had earlier lost to Australia 19-12.
The side plays its last pool match against Ireland at 3.03pm tomorrow.
