This year’s Homecoming Festival will honour the legacy of the late George ‘Fiji’ Veikoso.

In a media statement yesterday, Homecoming Festival Fiji said this year’s event would proceed as planned on September 5, 6 and 7 at Nadi’s Prince Charles Park.

“This year’s Homecoming will stand as a powerful tribute to ‘Fiji’, honouring his legacy and life-long dedication to music, culture, unity, and the spirit of Fiji,” the statement read.

“We invite fans, friends and the wider community to come together in celebration of his life, vision and the extraordinary, unmatched impact he had across the Pacific and global music landscape.”

Homecoming Festival Fiji has called on fans to stay tuned for the full-artist lineup announcement on August 14.

“We want to sincerely thank everyone for the overwhelming love and support during this difficult time.

“Fiji’s vision continues to guide the Homecoming Festival, and we are proud to honour his legacy and remain deeply committed to delivering an unforgettable experience in his honour.”

Meanwhile, the Pacific legend’s funeral service will take place next Tuesday at the Vodafone Arena in Suva.
