FITNESS trainer Jonathan Hill will “most likely” give evidence if the Suva Magistrate’s Court finds he has a case to answer on a charge of unlawful possession of methamphetamine.
His lawyer Shirley Tivao informed Magistrate Sufia Hamza of this yesterday after the court fixed a two-day trial date beginning on November 2.
Mr Hill and co-accused Pauliasi Tagicakiviti are jointly charged with one count of unlawful possession of 0.5381 grams of methamphetamine. They are also charged with possession of property suspected to be proceeds of crime after Mr Hill was allegedly found with $400 while Mr Tagicakiviti was found with $1620.
Both offences were alleged to have occurred in Lami on March 1, 2023.
Prosecutors informed the court that neither accused made any admission during their caution interviews and that the State intended to call 13 witnesses during trial.
The matter has been adjourned to September 2.
