Students and parents are raising concerns over what they describe as a sharp increase in printing charges at various printing shops around the country.
A survey conducted by this masthead at several outlets in the Central Division found that black and white printing on A4 paper now ranges from 29 cents to 80 cents per page, while colour printing costs between $1.32 and $2.80 per page.
The increase has placed added pressure on families and students who rely heavily on printing services for school assignments, projects and study materials.
Parents claimed that only a few years ago black and white printing on A4 paper cost about 10 cents per page, while colour printing averaged around 50 cents per page.
