Update: 4:32PM RESIDENTS of Vuda in Lautoka can now expect added employment opportunities after a $40million resort will be constructed in the next 12 months.
Aptly named the Vuda Hideaway Resort, this is a further extension to the Fiji Hideaway Resort in Sigatoka. Both properties are owned by the Fiji Teachers Union – Corporative Thrift and Credit Limited.
After the initial ground-breaking ceremony today, work will commence on the construction of 20 upmarket bure.
The five-year project, when completed, is expected to feature 80 bures for couples.
