Melania Tora, representing Tents and Awnings, was crowned Miss Hibiscus Queen 2024 last night in Suva.
In an emotional interview with this newspaper, Ms Tora expressed her deep gratitude to God for her victory.
“I wouldn’t be here without the grace of God,” she said. “I plan to continue serving the community as a youth leader at my church, but now I have the opportunity to do so on a larger scale.”
“I am committed to serving my country even more,” she said.
Reflecting on her experience as Hibiscus Queen, Ms Tora highlighted the profound personal transformation she underwent.
“The girls around me have taught me so much, and I have developed a deep love for my people.”
She sees herself as a living testament to the path set out by Jesus Christ and believes that anyone can achieve their dreams by staying true to their faith.
Meanwhile, Marica Waqaniburotu was crowned Miss Friendly North 2024 and Miss Charity before hundreds of people at Subrail Park in Labasa last night.
