FAMILY members, childhood friends of Melbourne Storm superstar Suliasi Vunivalu gathered at Toorak, Suva, last night to give him and his family a hero’s welcome at the Mataniciva Hall in Bagasau, Toorak.
He arrived into the country on Monday with his partner Liz Brown and their three and a half month-old son, Beau Joseph Vunivalu.
The occasion was described by Vunivalu as a very special one and it was also the christening of Joseph. The christening ceremony was conducted by Reverend Iliesa Tuinavabea.
Vunivalu thanked his family and friends for always supporting him and his family.
“I’m glad everyone turned up, especially my family, my mates who I grew up with. It’s a special feeling,” Vunivalu said.
