New Vision Fiji are looking to assist more children living with disabilities as they prepare for the new school year.
Chief executive officer, Rajnel Prasad said they pioneered the children with disability program last year by assisting 20 children with special needs and children with single parents.
Mr Prasad said they assisted each child with $300 worth of back-to-school supplies that included uniforms, stationeries sandals, bags, and basic accessories.
“With the kind support from the public and corporate bodies we managed to support this program which was worth $6000,” he said.
“The assistance was shared with 20 children from around the country.
Five were from the Central division, seven from the West, five from the North and three from the maritime region.
He said their request to the public and corporate sector was to join them with the great initiative – assisting children and those with special needs.
“Our donation box are open now at 8 Bau St, Flagstaff in Suva or they can contact Raj on 9830700 for making stationary or cash donations towards the program,” he said.
He said the New Vision of Fiji back to school drive would close on January 12, 2024 and distribution will be done on January 15.
“We look forward to your support towards this program,” he said.
