The Fiji Meteorological Service states a heavy rain warning remains in force for the entire Fiji Group as Tropical Depression TD03F continues to influence weather conditions across the country.
At 3am today, Tropical Depression TD03F was located about 510 kilometres west-northwest of Yasawa-i-Rara, or approximately 675 kilometres west of Labasa.
The system is gradually drifting east-southeast at around 10 kilometres per hour toward Fiji.
An associated trough with active rain bands is expected to continue affecting the group until later Thursday.
Forecasts indicate occasional to periods of heavy rain across the Fiji Group, accompanied by a few thunderstorms.
Fiji Met warns that the ongoing heavy rainfall may lead to flash flooding, particularly in flood-prone and low-lying areas, including informal settlements, communities, businesses and Irish crossings.
This could result in traffic disruptions and delays.
Motorists are also advised to exercise caution, as slippery road surfaces may create hazardous driving conditions and increase the risk of accidents, especially in poorly drained or low-lying areas.
Residents are urged to remain alert and take necessary precautions.
