A heavy rain warning is now in force for interior and coastal areas of southeastern parts of Viti Levu, Beqa, Vatulele, Kadavu, Yasawa, interior and southern parts Of Vanua Levu, Taveuni, Cikobia, Qelelevu, Lau and Lomaiviti groups.
The Nadi weather office states a trough of low pressure is expected to intensify as it continues to move eastwards through the country.
There will be rain and thunderstorm over most parts of the group until later tomorrow.
There is the possibility of flash flooding of some low-lying informal settlements, communities, businesses and iris crossing leading to disruption to traffic flow.
