A heavy rain alert remains in force for the whole Fiji group.
The Nadi weather office states a trough of low pressure lies slow moving over the group and continues to drift towards the eastern parts of the country.
Associated cloud, showers and rain are expected to affect the group until later today.
There will be occasional rain, heavy at times and few thunderstorms over Momi-Sigatoka-Coral Coast/Korolevu, Serua-Namosi, Navua-Suva-Nausori, Tailevu-Naitasiri-Ra, Lau and Lomaiviti groups, Kadavu and nearby smaller islands.
Localised heavy falls may lead to flash flooding of low lying and flood prone areas.
Rain and showers gradually easing and clearing from the west early today.
