A heavy rain alert is now in force the whole of Viti Levu, Yasawa and Mamanuca group
The Nadi weather states a trough of low pressure is anticipated to approach the group from later today. Associated cloud, showers and rain is expected to affect the group until Thursday.
The forecast for whole of Viti Levu, Yasawa and Mamanuca Group, Kadavu and nearby smaller islands, Lau and Lomaiviti groups is for occasional rain, heavy at times and few thunderstorms developing from the west later in the day.
Possible impacts include localised heavy falls leading to flash flooding of low lying and flood prone areas and poor visibility on roads during thunderstorms or heavy rainfall.
