Ubayd Haider, (formerly known as Nathan Singh), is just five weeks away from his highly anticipated title fight against Krishnil Kishan Mudaliar for the vacant super featherweight title.
Manager, Alan Kumar, has stated that Haider’s preparation has been slow due to Eid Mubarak fasting, but now that it has ended, he is back in the gym and working hard leading up to the fight.
“There is a great deal of respect for Mudaliar as a seasoned boxer, and we have been looking forward for this match-up, wanting to face off against the best in the business,” said Kumar.
Despite nothing out of the ordinary in terms of training routine, there is a focus on making small changes and pushing through during the fight. “Mental and spiritual preparedness are key aspects of our training regimen,” he added.
Kumar acknowledges that success in boxing requires overcoming setbacks and coming back stronger.
“It is a valuable lesson for any athlete to face challenges and emerge victorious,” “I wish both boxers well and credit will go to the boxer who is committed and dedicated in the fight.”
“We also would like to thank Fredy Chand for giving him a chance to showcase his boxing skills and get as much support from the fans.”
The title fight is set to take place on May 18 under the South Pacific Boxing Promotion banner at Prince Charles Park in Nadi.
