The Fiji National University’s (FNU) 2021 Enrolment Drive campaign has garnered strong interest and increasing applications from new students and those returning to complete or upskill their qualifications at the university.

As the university prepares for a new academic term, enrolment centres, roadshow locations and other student assistance initiatives have been implemented to help in their admission and registration process.

FNU vice-chancellor Professor Toby Wilkinson said students could also visit an FNU campus to complete their registration.

“We have enrolment centres at the following campuses – Nasinu, Samabula, Koronivia, Ba, Lautoka, Nadi and Labasa and over the next few weeks, we will also be located at various locations around Viti Levu to make the admission process easier for our students,” Prof Wilkinson said.

“We have these dedicated One-Stop Student Service Centres for ease and quick process of admission and registration. The centres will have staff from different divisions who will be able to assist students with enrolment, IT requirements and selection of study options,” he said.

“We also have the FNU KONA Student Information Express Booth that will be located at Tappoo City, Suva, Shop and Save Supermarket in Navua and the Sugar City Mall in Lautoka. Students will be able to pick and drop their applications and seek clarification from our team at these venues.”

Prospective students and parents and guardians are encouraged to check our social media pages for dates and locations.

The university also launched a Student Support Call Centre from 1 – 31 March where students, parents and guardians can call and speak to FNU staff regarding our programs and services.

The Call Centre is operational from 9 am to 5 pm weekdays and can be contacted on 3432 966 and 9103413. Vernacular languages options are also available.

Prof Wilkinson also encouraged students to apply for the TVET Pasifika 5000 placements available via the Tertiary Scholarships and Loan Service (TSLS).

“FNU is a proud dual-sector University, and we recognise that excellent Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) is as important as excellent Higher Education for the future success of Fiji and other Pacific island nations,” he said.

“We are also acutely aware, as you are, that TVET is critical to the post-pandemic economic recovery.”

Students completing or have completed Year 12 or 13 have the opportunity to undergo Semester 1, 2022 studies in any Certificate III, Certificate IV and Diploma level TVET course at FNU through the 5,000 TSLS placements.
