THE Fiji Secondary Schools Rugby Union Coke Zero Deans semi-finals will for the first time be held at Govind Park, Ba.
The news was revealed by Coca-Cola Amatil Fiji marketing manager Lawrence Tikaram at a press conference held at CCA Fiji headquarters last week.
In relaying the news Tikaram said the new venue gave an opportunity for the sport to be showcased in areas where it was not dominant.
“This is part of the development strategy that Fiji secondary schools has but also it is about taking up that brand of rugby supported by Coke Zero Deans in an ensuring that we take the games out to the grassroots and develop the game,” he said.
With all schools now travelling to the decided venue, Tikaram said they would find avenues to assist those contesting for spots in the finals later this week. For the western people this is good news for them but for all the other schools that are travelling there is arrangements between the Fiji secondary Schools RU and the officials to see how we can help,” he said.
