Ba Golf Club is set to host a major Stableford tournament tomorrow with the kind sponsorship from Canada-based businessman Mahendra Gopal, in what is being billed as a key build-up event to the highly anticipated East v West clash on August 3.

Ba Golf Club captain Asish Chand acknowledged the significance of the continued overseas support, noting that Gopal and his wife, Anita Persaud, the CEO of Prestige Home Care in Toronto, Canada, have allocated $8000 this season to support local golf initiatives.

“Having this level of commitment from someone abroad speaks volumes about the passion Gopal and his family have for the development of golf in Fiji.

“Their investment helps us host competitive, well-structured events that grow the game at club and national levels,” Chand said.
