International sports icon Sonny Bill Williams who will highlight the South Pacific Boxing Promotion (SPBP) event today as the chief guest at Prince Charles Park in Nadi says he knows how boxers feel before a fight.
“I have been in the same situation, and I know the nerves that come with it,” he said.
Williams added that the event should be exciting, and he was really looking forward to it.
“Good luck to all the boxers and to put an event like this, I know it is going to be a sell-out and thanks for letting me be here.
“All thanks to Mohammed Shameem, the South Pacific Boxing Promotion director, for organising this event.”
He said the look on the boxers faces showed they were ready for the fight night.
Williams added e was really looking forward to seeing the Singh brothers in action — Sebastian Singh and Ubayd Haider (formerly known as Nathan Singh).
During the weigh-in, Shameem reminded boxers to be on time for their respective fights.
