GOOD designing results and well-constructed clothes are two important things that will help make the 2015 Fiji Fashion Week (FJFW) show a successful one.
And FJFW managing director Ellen Whippy-Knight says they are expecting a high turnout when the show begins.
Ms Whippy-Knight said apart from the well-constructed clothes from designers, they would also set up booths and stalls where people could buy clothes and jewellery.
She said the show would be an exciting one since they would showcase different outwears.
“What’s going to make FJFW successful is good designer result and on top of that, a very good show, and most importantly, that there are some people in the audience who want to buy the clothes,” Ms Whippy-Knight said.
She said this year they had a lot of fresh designers and this proved to them that people were getting influenced and creative.
“If they’ve got that, it’s not very hard to go further.
“You need to know how to sew and you need to learn properties of fabric so you know how to put them together,” Ms Whippy-Knight said.
