Fijians who purchase tickets to watch VT1S perform at the Fiji Fringe Festival on March 4 will be rewarded with a new track by Fiji’s hottest new band, says VT1S music producer and label owner Tropic Thunda.
“Preparations for the upcoming concert have been great,” he said.
“Now that we have Tikiko Korocowiri, also known as Tix, on board we are currently just trying to get everything structured and from there, we will go on.”
Thunda said their journey so far, in terms of music production, had been riddled with challenges.
“One of the main challenges is equipment but we are hoping that changes soon especially once everything is structured right and we will be able to receive funding for new equipment.”
He said the concert would be “much better” than their previous one. “The last concert was backed by a live band but with this one we are going with the (pre-recorded programmed) tracks.
“Even though the live element is not completely there, we will put together a show that everyone will enjoy.
“After the concert we will be introducing new artists that will be joining VT1S, but they will debut after the concert and if Fijians want to get the news firsthand, they will have to show up.”
He urged Fijians to support local artists.
