The Mokani Rugby club in Tailevu received a sponsorship boost from FA & Company, marking the third year that the legal law firm has chosen to sponsor the club.
This sponsorship came in the form of wet weather gear for club officials, highlighting the company’s commitment to supporting grassroots rugby.
Isireli Fa, head of FA & Company, expressed his pride in being a sponsor of the Mokani Rugby Club.
He commended the club for its success both on and off the field, noting the impressive leadership and financial management skills demonstrated by the officials.
“As I got to know the officials of the club better, I realise that their strength is off the field, for the last three years of my dealing with the club, they have really impressed me,” said Fa.
“The club knows how to keep their books, they know accountability and most importantly they understand sponsorship, they have given us millage which we never thought we would get from supporting grassroots rugby.”
Fa emphasised the importance of recognising the efforts of all those involved in the club, not just the players, and decided to provide wet weather gear for the officials as a token of appreciation for their hard work.
Fa’s sentiments were echoed by Joseph Rodan senior, president of the Mokani Rugby Club.
Rodan expressed his gratitude towards FA & Company for their ongoing support, acknowledging the impact that sponsorship has had on the club’s growth and success.
He highlighted the significance of sponsors in the development of grassroots rugby, pointing out that it is through their generosity that clubs like Mokani can thrive.
“It’s through sponsorships like this Mokani rugby club has grown to be one of the top clubs in Tailevu.”
He also noted not only have the players benefitted from the support, but the officials as well, with eight of them being elected to the Tailevu Rugby Union, a testament to the positive impact of such partnerships.
