Update: 1:17PM FIJI National Sports Commission provided $1,791,547 to Team Fiji for the 2018 Commonwealth Games.
Commission chairperson Peter Mazey made the presentation to Team Fiji deputy chef de mission Christopher Yee at the FASANOC office in Suva today.
The funds provided were for the preparation and the participation towards the Commonwealth Games in Gold Coast, Australia.
“Team Fiji is grateful to the commission for the funding, which funded training and competition overseas for many of the participating sports,” Yee said.
Team Fiji will depart on Friday.
