THE Lautoka Botanical Garden coffee shop is nearing completion and will be opening soon, says Lautoka City Council CEO Mohammed Anees Khan.
Once operational, the coffee shop will provide food and beverage while also serving as a venue for parties and functions.
“Council will soon be opening the coffee shop project at the Botanical Garden once electrical works are completed,” he said.
Mr Khan said the coffee shop would be another revenue stream for the council.
“This would not only yield rental revenue for council, but offer a completely different coffee, beverage, and dining experience for our citizens at the peaceful environment among the greenery in the garden.
“The council had also readvertised its tender in January requesting for suitably established and experienced coffee shop or restaurant operators for a operational lease coffee shop at Lautoka Botanical Gardens.”
