NATIONAL rep and Ba Football star, Nabil Begg, showcased his talent in the final pool match of the Extra Futsal Inter-District Championship (IDC) 2025 yesterday.
Leading his team to a resounding 6-4 victory over Nasinu, Begg was named the player of the match after scoring a crucial goal to secure Ba’s spot in the semi-finals.
Reflecting on his team’s performance, Begg expressed his pride in the boys’ efforts throughout the competition.
He credited their success to a strong team effort and emphasised the need for improvement, particularly in the defensive aspect of their game.
“We lack defence in our side, so we will be looking at the videos and see where we went wrong and improve to come back stronger in the semis,” said Begg.
As Ba prepares for the semi-final match, Begg acknowledged the tough competition they will face but remained optimistic about their chances.
He highlighted the importance of learning from their mistakes and implementing strategies to overcome their opponents.
“Top teams have made it through to the semi-final, so we can expect a tough game and we are looking forward to the challenge.”
