The iTaukei Land Trust Board yesterday opened its Back to School Assistance Program, allowing minors to withdraw financial assistance from their respective accounts.
In a statement, TLTB said the Minor’s Early Withdrawal Education Assistance for iTaukei landowners allows students to withdraw up to 40 per cent depending on available funds within their accounts.
But it reiterates that only minors with available lease money held with the trust could access the assistance.
Primary and secondary school students can withdraw $200 while tertiary students can withdraw a higher amount depending on available funds.
Parents have also been asked to check with TLTB offices on whether their children have 40 per cent balance of lease money with the board.
