TotalEnergies Ltd yesterday opened its fifth Quartz Auto Services (QAS), this time in partnership with Prime Automotive in Manoca, Nausori.

This gives the people of Nausori and nearby areas access to more car service options outside of TotalEnergies’ service station network.

This includes traditional lubes bay offers such as premium oil changes, high quality quartz lubricant and specialised car maintenance, including 10-12 point vehicle safety checks.

Prime Automotive managing director Zaheer Khan said they had invested about $50,000 in the initiative with the aim of bringing overseas standards of automotive services to Fiji.

“We try to bring the overseas standards of automotive services, anything automotive related to Fiji as we believe there is a market there that hasn’t been hit,” he said.

“There’s a gap there that we want to cover, and cover everything at once as well.

“Transportation these days is getting very expensive.

“We want to ensure that we look after everyone’s vehicles to the point where they can keep it going for 10 to 15 years down the line.”

He said as TotalEnergies’ fifth QAS, the Prime Automotive QAS Centre was the largest.

“They already have four and this is the first one in Nausori and it’s the fifth one that Total has now. It is the largest one they have and this is a QAS Centre that’s not within a Total service station.”

Mr Khan said they had plans to expand to other parts of Fiji.
