FSC sets 2026 harvest and crushing dates

The Fiji Sugar Corporation (FSC) has confirmed that Fiji’s 2026 sugar harvesting season will officially begin on Tuesday, June 30, with crushing operations at all three sugar mills commencing the following day.

In a statement, FSC advised sugarcane growers, industry stakeholders and the public that harvesting operations should begin from June 30 in accordance with schedules coordinated by their respective sector offices.

The Corporation said the 2026 crushing season will officially commence on Wednesday, July 1, at all three of its mills.

FSC said it had been working closely with growers, harvesting contractors, industry partners and other stakeholders to ensure operational readiness ahead of the new season.

The Corporation acknowledged the efforts made by growers and industry participants in preparing for the start of harvesting and expressed confidence in a safe and productive season.

“FSC has been working closely with growers, harvesting contractors, industry partners, and relevant stakeholders to ensure operational readiness for the start of the season,” the statement said.

The Corporation also encouraged growers and harvesting teams to comply with industry guidelines and observe all safety requirements throughout the harvesting and crushing season.
