THE Fiji Sports Council (FSC) has come on board and further extended their commitment in being environmentally friendly.
While the FSC is encouraging spectators to get rid of their single use plastic bags at the ANZ Stadium, it has also recently expanded its reach to include plastic bottles and aluminum cans, with a collection cage introduced into its parking lot.
“We hope that this not only helps to beautify Suva, but also increases awareness that we must all work together to protect the environment,” said FSC CEO, Litiana Loabuka.
Mrs Loabuka said that the collection of the cans and bottles is in place with a company already contracted to keep the cage empty.
The centre is well-lit and open 24 hours a day.
