Fiji-owned ICT company VT Technology Solutions Pte Ltd is the latest company to join the Fiji Rugby Union sponsors family.
Managing director and chief executive officer Shailesh Sharma said this was an opportune time for them.
He added at “the end of the day we all must do our bid and contribute positively” to the growth of the sport.
“With turbulent times, economically, uncertainty the only way is up from here and we are excited and pumped and we would like to focus on the positive on what we can bring to the table,” he said.
“It’s not just about FRU as an organisation, we don’t have any interest to sort of run or advice on how they should run the show but it’s on us to make sure that we provide a platform that will able to help them monitor on what they can use to succeed. “Most importantly player welfare, that is where we come in.”
VT Solutions will be providing FRU technology solutions including connectivity, security, IT hardware and peripherals, as well as technical support.
VT Solutions will also sponsor the Fijiana Drua Fans Player of the Match Awards for the annual Super W competition, which will be exclusively associated with its online store brand www.tuivt.com.
FRU’s national operations manager Sale Sorovaki said they are delighted to welcome VT Solutions to their exciting sponsor vuvale and are grateful for their support, which will enable them to meet their ICT requirements.
The deal also has an annual cash bonus to be shared amongst the players whenever they win the league’s main title, which encompasses the 2023 grand final game against the Reds tomorrow.
Sharma also said they were grateful for the opportunity to contribute to the ongoing development of rugby in Fiji.

The partnership between FRU and VT Solutions is for three years and also covers the Flying Fijians, Fijiana, Fijian Warriors and Fijian under-20.
