The permanent secretary for Health and Medical Services Dr James Fong has just announced 143 new cases of COVID-19 for the 24 hour period that ended at 8am today. POLICE issued 117 public health infringement notices (PHINs) for the failure of wearing a mask in a public place between September 9 and 10. Police, in a statement, said that failure to comply with health measures pertaining to the wearing of a mask in a public place continued to be a concern.
Youth volunteers
AROUND 30 youth volunteers who have been tasked to support COVID-19 response operations in the Western Division undertook training in accountability, child protection and humanitarian standards recently.

POLICE investigation on an alleged dealing in relation to forged international travel documents is still underway. This, according to police spokeswoman Ana Naisoro yesterday.
