The deputy director of the United States’ Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) is in the country.
And David Cohen has already held meetings with Home Affairs Minister Pio Tikoduadua and acting Prime Minister Manoa Kamikamica in Suva yesterday.
Mr Kamikamica said they discussed areas of mutual interest and concern to both countries.

In the second story on the front page, the Ministry of iTaukei Affairs has assured that due diligence was followed in the selection of contractors, Public Building Solutions, to carry out renovation works on the Great Council of Chiefs Complex in Nasova, Suva. Permanent secretary Pita Tagicakirewa said the fact that the company was owned by a Cabinet Minister’s spouse was a ‘non-issue’.
