An image used to link Cabinet Minister Lynda Tabuya to a sex scandal that her attackers claim took place last year has been circulating on porn sites since 2014.

This, according to open-source intelligence specialist Eric Nelson, a graduate of the DFRLab Digital Sherlocks program who owns Minnesota based Slickrockweb Inc.

He used TinEye and Yandex reverse image search engines, which uses image recognition to find out where an image came from, how it is being used, or if modified versions of the image exist. That’s the big news on the front page of The Fiji Times for Friday, January 19.

The second story on the front page is about Police chief of operations ACP Livai Driu yesterday confirming that a policeman allegedly scooped a portion of the 3 tonne meth consignment seized in Nadi last weekend and fled the scene.

ACP Driu said charges would be laid against the suspect, who was rounded up late yesterday.
