“IT is not true.”

This was former FijiFirst general secretary Aiyaz Sayed-Khaiyum’s response to claims he and former prime minister Voreqe Bainimarama had not declared all of their assets before the general elections.

Speaking to the media yesterday, he also confirmed that a Departure Prohibition Order was issued on him last Saturday that stopped him from travelling for a month.

“Of course they are not true,” he said. “All our declarations had been made correctly.”

A complaint was lodged against Mr Sayed-Khaiyum and Mr Bainimarama by Australian resident Alexandra Forwood earlier this month.

Ms Forwood alleged that the pair had not declared some of their assets before the general elections in 2022.
