After being at loggerhead in Fiji over the draft Employment Relations Bill, Edward Bernard, Chief Executive Officer of the Fiji Commerce and Employers Federation and Felix Anthony, National Secretary of the Fiji Trades Union Congress have been photographed in a sign of solidarity at the 113th Session of the International Labour Conference in Geneva.

They are seen with Minister for Employment, Productivity, and Workplace Relations, Agni Deo Singh.

“Fiji will provide an update on the Coalition Government’s progress regarding the restoration of rights for workers, employers, and trade unions, along with the review of the Employment Relations Act 2007,” said a Ministry statement.

Government is paying for all expenses for the tripartite delegation, including that of Mr Bernard and Mr Anthony.

The Ministry said it has taken seven members, inclusive of government advisors through the Employment Ministry’s budgetary allocation, to Geneva.
