Head of Fiji Navy, Timoci Natuva has been promoted to the rank of Commodore.
He was a Captain until now.
The Fiji Military Forces states the promotion reflects his exceptional leadership, dedication, and contributions to both national and international maritime operations.
“Commodore Natuva’s leadership has been instrumental in shaping the Fiji Navy’s operational capabilities,” said the RFMF.
“His command roles aboard patrol boats and at the Navy Training Base have strengthened Fiji’s maritime readiness.”
Internationally, he served as Chief Liaison Officer for the United Nations Disengagement Observer Force (UNDOF), where he mediated between Syrian and Israeli forces, earning accolades for his diplomatic and tactical acumen.”
Commodore Natuva holds advanced degrees in Military and Defence Studies from the Australian National University and National Security from Deakin University.
His training at prestigious institutions like the Australian War College and the Asia-Pacific Center for Security Studies in Hawaii underscores his commitment to strategic leadership.
