The defending champions in the women’s grade, Fresh’et Navy, got off to a strong start by defeating Lilian Amazon 19-5 in their first game of the 50th Fiji Bitter Marist 7s this morning, at the HFC Bank Stadium in Suva.
The opening day featured matches in the women’s and U18-U21 categories, with results like Loloma Heights beating Striders Women’s 14-7, and Marist triumphing over Flametree Colo-i-Suva with a score of 7-0.
In the men’s U21 division, St Theresa won over Seni Ivi rugby with a score of 12-5, while Devo Young Babas dominated with a 26-0 win against Elem Brothers.
