A fourth man appeared before the Suva Magistrates Court to face charges related to the alleged importation of 4.7 kilograms of liquid methamphetamine earlier this month.
Alipate Matadigo, 36, made his first appearance before Senior Magistrate Sufia Hamza, facing a count of unlawful importation of illicit drugs.
Police Prosecutor Sergeant Sharmila Lata opposed and informed the court the accused was implicated in the same case involving two police officers, aged 43 and 31, who were previously charged for the same offence.
Another 37-year-old self-employed man has also been charged for the same offence.
The case will be called before Magistrate Charles Ratakele on October 16.
