EXCITEMENT builds as four Fijian football powerhouses’ teams have been confirmed to represent the country at the 2025 Pacific Community Cup in Auckland, New Zealand.

Rewa FC, Labasa FC, Ba FC, and Lautoka FC will showcase their talents at the tournament from November 26-30.

Rewa FC, the reigning champions of both the Extra Supermarket Premier League and FMF IDC, will lead the Fijian contingent at the event.

They will be joined by Labasa FC, winners of the Extra Battle of the Giants (BOG), as well as the experienced campaigners, Ba FC and Lautoka FC.

Fiji Football Association president Rajesh Patel emphasised the importance of the Pacific Cup in providing a platform for Fijian players to display their skills on an international stage.

He highlighted the tournament’s significance in allowing clubs to gain exposure, compete against high-quality opposition, and connect with Fijians around the world who are passionate about football.

“The Pacific Community Cup has always been a special tournament for our players and fans,” Patel said.

“It allows our clubs to gain exposure, compete against quality opposition, and connect with Fijians living abroad who continue to support football passionately.”

Patel also noted the growth of football in the country and praised the inclusion of youth teams in this year’s competition.

The addition of an Under-16 Boys competition from Canada, Fiji, Australia, and New Zealand aims to strengthen development pathways and promote unity among Pacific communities through sports.
