Four men, alleged to have stolen grog from farms and a market in Vanua Levu will be produced at the Magistrates Court in Labasa tomorrow.
Police said two of the accused persons are 18-years old, while the other two are in their 20s and 30s.
“A special taskforce was put together to investigate the number of yaqona thefts in the Northern Division, whereby the four were investigated for four cases of yaqona theft from Viriqilai, Korotari and at the Labasa Market,” police said.
“All accused persons were jointly charged with theft.
“The four are also allegedly involved in similar cases from the Nabouwalu and Savusavu area of operation.”
