It will be another big test for Tailevu rugby and its forwards as they brace for Ba in round three of the Skipper Cup this weekend.
Last weekend, most of the young Tailevu forwards had their baptism of fire against an experienced Naitasiri pack.
Head coach Samisoni Baikeitoga said one of the reasons of their downfall last week was their forward pack’s inability to execute their set-pieces and this was something they do not wish to repeat against newcomers, Ba.
“I think some of the boys were baptised with fire on Saturday especially in the set-pieces.
Naitasiri is an old dog, they have experienced players while some of my boys really got to taste the level of competition in Skipper Cup,” he said.
“The players have learned from their mistake, and they will try to improve that.”
They meet today at 3pm in Ba.
