The death has occurred of former journalist, Fiji netball president and current senior manager at the Fiji National Provident Fund, Wainikiti Waqa Bogidrau.
The family has made the announcement on social media, stating she passed away yesterday.
She was Fiji Netball Association president from 2010-2020 and current president of the Oceania Netball Federation and a board member of World Netball.
At the FNPF, Mrs Bogidrau was currently the Acting General Manager Human Resources.
She had also worked as a journalist in the print media before joining FNPF.
Her funeral will be on January 17.
