Former FBC CEO and current CFO re-charged by FICAC over $207K vehicle deal

Former CEO of Fijian Broadcasting Corporation Pte Limited Riyaz Sayed-Khaiyum and current CFO Vimlesh Sagar have been re-charged by Fiji Independent Commission Against Corruption (FICAC) on allegations involving the tender and procurement of a 3.0L Volkswagen Touareg vehicle valued at $207,470.00

FICAC said in a statement the two are currently in custody at FICAC and will be produced at the Suva Magistrates Court this afternoon.

Mr Sayed-Khaiyum faces two charges of abuse of office and general dishonesty causing a loss.

Mr Sagar is charged with one count of general dishonesty causing a loss.

On May 20, FICAC had withdrawn the charges against the two in the Magistrates Court as their case neared pre-trial.
