A fourth suspect connected to last week’s Nadi drug raid has been arrested.
Appearing at the Nadi Magistrates Court today, Police prosecutor Inspector Pramesh Chand said the fourth suspect was a foreigner who tried to escape the country following the drug raid where more than 4.8kilograms of meth was discovered.
Mr Chand said the fourth suspect would soon be charged as investigations into the discovery of the illicit drugs continue.
Three people arrested so far in relation to the raid are suspended police officer Apenisa Matadigo, Viliame Nalago and Are Tania.
The drugs had come as an airfreight consignment from a Southeast African nation.
