Police are investigating an incident where a minor was accosted by unknown persons under the old Nausori bridge to inject him with illicit drugs.
The 17-year-old was walking when two teenagers blocked his way, according to a family member who posted the details on social media.
The family member said one of the teenagers pulled out a needle and asked the 17-year-old to inject himself.
The two boys fled after some members of the public appeared in the area.
The Assistant Commissioner of Police – Crime (ACP/C) Mesake Waqa has directed the Crime Officer Nausori to lead the investigation team.
“Investigations are ongoing and we also urge anyone who may have information regarding any suspicious movement of people on the afternoon of Tuesday 22nd of April 2025 between 4-5pm to call Crimestoppers on 919,” said Fiji Police.
