Football coach brings experience

Update: 10:39AM NEW national football coach Christophe Gamel brings a lot of experience to Fiji.

He was appointed as the coach of the Fiji FA by the board members last week. 

He said he was very happy with the new job. 

“Now I am happy for this new challenge and big work,” he told Times Sport. 

Gamel had been a semi-professional player with different clubs in France including ASMF, CSMeaux, VGA St Maur, Saint-Rapha’l, ES Lorgues. In Italy he played for Cassino sant’Appolinare 1927. 

“During my carrier as player i have always coach youth when it was possible. When I stop to play 33years old in Italy I have coach a team in Bagneux,” he said. 

He also worked with DVTK club in Hungary and then then coached Qatar under-17 and under-19 football teams. He also worked with Al Rayyan Club in Qatar before taking on the job of the assistant coach of Paris Saint Germain.
