THE concentration of defence on Extra Bula FC captain Roy Krishna is a strategy head coach Stephane Auvray will look to exploit in the third round of the OFC Pro League circuit.

The experience and x-factor the 38-year-old brings has made him one of the most marked players of the competition.

“Obviously the opponents will always perceive Roy as being the most dangerous player and we have to use this to our advantage, his pressure and his runs always force one or two players around him,” Auvray explained.

“And I think our surrounding players attacking players understood this, rightfully Nabil has been taking advantage of this and hopefully more players will do.”

With fans calling on the Krishna to score more goals for the team Auvray has placed his trust on the team captain to do what’s best for the team when on the field.

“It’s important for Roy to score as well but what I think is that with his experience he will know what to do to benefit the team and this is what matters the most,” he said.

Bula FC will play four games in the third circuit; teams are afforded only two recovery days in between games making the schedule the most hectic one so far in the competition.

Despite the challenging schedule Auvray is confident in his squad’s preparation to remain competitive throughout their four games.

“Even at training we also mix the team, players playing different partners we really want to ensure that everyone can gel with everybody,” Auvray explained.

“So, when it’s game time you can really put anybody in their zones or in their primary or secondary position and there are no issues.”

With this approach all players will get their chance on the field, with a few players particularly the younger ones needing more time to make their debut.

Bula FC will commence the third circuit against Vanuatu United FC at two pm this afternoon.
