FNU had record-breaking student growth in 2024, over 26,000 enrolled

Fiji National University (FNU) has reported a significant surge in student enrolment, with its 2024 Annual Report that was tabled in Parliament showing the highest headcount in five years: 26,738 students across all colleges — a notable increase from 23,862 in 2023.

The standout growth was recorded at the National Training & Productivity Centre (NTPC), which enrolled 8,169 students, up from 5,938 the previous year.

This marks a 37.6% year-on-year growth and reflects increasing interest in upskilling and vocational training programs.

Other students enrolment by school were College of Humanities & Education (4,385), College of Medicine, Nursing & Health Sciences (2,863), College of Agriculture, Fisheries & Forestry (985) and Fiji Maritime Academy / Pacific Centre for Maritime Studies (1,554).

The College of Business, Hospitality & Tourism Studies and the College of Engineering, Science & Technology saw minor drops in headcount, continuing a downward trend since 2020.
