UNIVERSITY of the South Pacific (USP) relinquishes their seven-year dominance to Fiji National University (FNU) at the Fiji University the Sporting Association (FUSA) Rugby Inter-tertiary Games in Suva yesterday.
FNU won the rugby league, the 15s rugby union in both the U20 and the senior grades.
USP head coach Apenisa Vodo said: “It was a really tough game, but FNU clearly showed they were hungrier for the win and were a much fitter side.”
FNU coach Timoci Tavai replied: “In comparison to the other games, we would run in three to four tries, but we managed to score only once against USP.”
Results: Rugby Union: U20: USP 5-19 FNU, Senior: USP 0-5 FNU. Rugby League: USP 10-16 FNU
