Flying Fijians survive final RWC test match defeating Tonga, 29-19

THE Fiji Airways Flying Fijians defeated Tonga 29-19 in a hard fought physical battle in the Pacifika Challenge today at Eden Park in New Zealand.

Fiji led in the first half 17-12 with the two wingers Josua Tuisova and Vereniki Goneva scoring a try each before flanker Semi Kunatani dived over the whitewash in the final minute of the first half.

The second spell was motivated through Fijian skipper Dominiko Waqaniburotu scoring the first try and hooker Sam Matavesi scored their second to seal the win for them 29-19.

Fiji will now direct their full attention to the World Cup on September 21 in Japan.
