FIJI Water Flying Fijians captain Tevita Ikanivere is focused and confident ahead of their much-anticipated Pacific Nations Cup final against Japan tonight.

Ikanivere believes the players are confident.

“The boys are feeling confident going into tomorrow’s(tonight) game.

“We have the confidence knowing that we’ve done the work throughout the week. Worked on clarity we had two training sessions on Tuesday and Thursday in Osaka, and we look forward to coming out and battling with Japan,” Ikanivere said.

When it comes to pressure, Ikanivere acknowledged its presence but sees it as a positive aspect.

“There’s always pressure. It’s a good thing. So, I look forward to tomorrow(tonight) and leading the boys out and trying to get the win.

“We know what to do. We’ve got the message throughout we just going to come out and execute and finish the job,” he added.

The skipper acknowledges sponsors and supporters.

“First of all, we want to thank our sponsors FIJI Water, Fiji Airways for allowing us to come out and do what we love to do.

“To all our fans in Japan, we encourage you to come out in numbers and watch the boys play.”

The final kicks off at 10.05pm.
