BEACHCOMBER heard a colleague went to visit a friend who was renowned as a fearless kava swiper.
When the kava ran out, the fearless friend volunteered to drive colleague’s vehicle to the 24-hour outlet, a two-minute drive away.
After a long wait, the friend grew worried.
His friend eventually arrived with kava in hand, panting and breathless.
The friend ran outside to look for his vehicle — it was nowhere in sight.
His friend suddenly jumped up and ran down the road.
He reappeared minutes later in Beachcomber’s colleague’s vehicle.
“I forgot I had driven there, I came out of the shop and paidar (walked) back,” he sheepishly explained.
